Don Winder has always wanted to work in medicine in some capacity since middle school. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and he gained invaluable experience as an EMT, witnessing firsthand the profound impact of compassionate care.
Driven by a passion for enhancing patient outcomes, Don transitioned to become a Physician Assistant, graduating from the Red Rocks PA program in 2009. He then embarked on a fulfilling career in pain management in Salem, Oregon, where he spent 12 years providing compassionate care to individuals navigating chronic pain.
Now, Don is excited to refocus his expertise on clinical work in primary care, recognizing the critical role of preventive medicine and holistic health in fostering long-term well-being. His patient-centered approach prioritizes the establishment of trusting relationships, empowering patients with education and access to resources tailored to their unique needs and aspirations as we work on root causes of disease.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Don finds solace and inspiration in Oregon’s breathtaking outdoors. An avid photographer and enthusiastic explorer, he cherishes quality time with his family, embracing an active lifestyle that aligns with his commitment to promoting health and vitality.
